Juve Set To Battle Madrid For Pogba

Juventus are refusing to give up on re-signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer, according to CalcioMercato.

The Serie A champions had three bids rebuffed last summer but still believe they can convince the France international to return to Turin.

They face massive competition from Real Madrid, however, with Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane keen to bring his compatriot to Santiago Bernabeu. Christopher Nkunku is reportedly refusing to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, according to Mercato365.

The 21-year-old is unhappy with his playing time under Thomas Tuchel and will have just one year left on his current deal at the end of the season. He has already attracted interest from Arsenal and Rennes, with the former registering their interest in January.

A central midfielder by trade, Nkunku is a versatile player and has been used in an astonishing variety of positions this season alone, having featured on either wing, right-back and even up front alongside his preferred central role.

Arsenal are thought to have shortlisted Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The 26-year-old Frenchman was a part of the Aston Villa side that was relegated from the Premier League but has managed five goals and three assists in Serie A this season.

With Ramsey heading to Juventus on a free transfer at the end of the season, the Gunners are looking for a central midfielder who can add goals from midfield, but will reportedly have to stump up a fee of around €30m (£26m/$34m), with Napoli and Inter also rumoured to be interested.
